Mária Švarbová, in the world of art photography called Aria Baró, was born in 1988 in Slovakia where she finished her university studies of conservation - restoration and archeology. She has dedicated to photography since 2010. She started to work on portraits with a soul. Nowadays she tries to express herself.
Her works mostly represent conceptual art photography where the main role is played by human as the highest storyteller. You can find a lot of surrealism in her artworks, creating the thought of question Why? and finding answers for nonsence. But in addition she is inspired by the last universal worldwide style called Secession, where she found her visual ornamentations, flatness and unusual image colorization. Viewer is taken inside her photos into kind of an interspace where the time has stopped. Photos should, apart from other, represent her own stored memories and moments from her life. Her main goal is to break away from traditionalism and stereotypes of this world.
Mária exhibited, interviewed and published in Slovakia several times. But her main activity focuses abroad. It is worth mentioning recent interview for american DODHO magazine with her photo on the cover, publication in french book with the name of Sensual photography, honorable mention in Polish International Exhibition 2012.
Further her participation in the swedish 1x tutorial book of photography and cover photo for FotoVideo czech magazine. Contract with american Vogue magazine is her latest success.
